Israel will face accountability for the crimes it has committed against Palestinians, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş said Tuesday, condemning decades of unpunished massacres and human rights violations by the Israeli government.
In a powerful statement, Kurtulmuş called for the international community to hold Israel accountable for its actions and bring justice to the Palestinian people who have suffered for far too long.
“For too many years, Israel has been allowed to act with impunity, committing atrocities and human rights violations against the Palestinian people,” Kurtulmuş said. “It is time for the international community to act and ensure that justice is served for these crimes.”
The Parliament Speaker highlighted the ongoing occupation and colonization of Palestinian land, as well as the construction of illegal settlements and the continued use of excessive force against peaceful Palestinian protesters.
“These actions not only violate international law and human rights, but also serve to further oppress the Palestinian people and deny them their basic rights,” Kurtulmuş stated.
He also pointed out the recent escalation in violence in Gaza, where scores of innocent civilians, including women and children, have been killed by Israeli airstrikes. The indiscriminate attacks on civilian infrastructure, including schools and hospitals, have also been condemned by the international community.
“The cycle of violence and bloodshed must end. The Palestinian people have suffered for far too long and it is time for the international community to step up and take action,” Kurtulmuş urged.
He also called on the United Nations to fulfill its responsibility and provide protection to the Palestinian people, as well as hold Israel accountable for its actions.
Kurtulmuş emphasized that Turkey stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people and will continue to use its voice to bring attention to the injustices they face.
“Turkey will not remain silent while our Palestinian brothers and sisters are being oppressed and denied their basic rights. We will continue to advocate for justice and will use all diplomatic means to ensure that Israel is held accountable for its actions,” Kurtulmuş declared.
The Parliament Speaker’s strong words come at a time when tensions in the region are high and innocent civilians continue to suffer. His statements are a reminder to the international community that action must be taken to bring an end to the Palestinian people’s suffering.
In conclusion, Israel must be held accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people. It is time for the international community to take a stand and ensure that justice is served. The Palestinian people have suffered for far too long and it is the responsibility of the global community to bring an end to their oppression. Let us work towards a just and peaceful future for all Palestinians.
