India’s Aviation Minister Investigates Possible Sabotage in Air India Crash

India’s aviation minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, announced on Sunday that investigators are looking into all possible angles, including sabotage, in the probe of the recent Air India crash. The tragic incident, which took place on Friday, claimed the lives of all but one of the 242 people on board.

The Air India Express flight from Dubai overshot the runway while landing at Calicut International Airport in the southern state of Kerala. The aircraft then plunged into a valley, splitting into two and catching fire. The sole survivor, a 19-year-old woman, is currently in critical condition.

In the aftermath of the crash, the aviation minister assured the public that a thorough investigation is being conducted to determine the cause of the accident. He stated, “We are looking at all possible angles, including the possibility of sabotage. We will leave no stone unturned in finding out the truth.”

The minister’s statement comes amidst speculation that the crash may have been caused by a technical malfunction or human error. However, the possibility of sabotage cannot be ruled out at this point. In light of this, the aviation ministry has formed a five-member committee to investigate the incident.

The committee, headed by the Director-General of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, will examine the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder to gather crucial evidence. They will also analyze the aircraft’s maintenance records and the pilot’s training and experience. The committee will submit its report within five months, as per international standards.

The aviation minister also assured that the families of the victims will be provided with all necessary support and assistance. He stated, “We stand with the families of the victims during this difficult time. The government will provide all possible help and support to them.”

The tragic incident has once again raised concerns about the safety of air travel in India. The country’s aviation industry has been growing rapidly in recent years, with more people opting for air travel. However, this incident serves as a reminder that safety must always be the top priority.

In response to this, the aviation minister has emphasized the need for strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations. He stated, “Safety is non-negotiable in the aviation sector. We will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.”

The Air India crash has also highlighted the importance of proper maintenance and training for pilots and crew members. The aviation ministry has assured that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.

The Indian aviation industry has made significant progress in recent years, with the country’s airlines achieving a good safety record. However, this incident serves as a wake-up call for the industry to constantly review and improve safety measures.

In conclusion, the aviation minister’s statement about investigating all possible angles, including sabotage, in the Air India crash probe is a testament to the government’s commitment to finding the truth and ensuring the safety of air travel in India. The country stands united in mourning the lives lost in this tragic incident and remains determined to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
